Fannie Mae wants you to 'Know Your Options'

"Avoid foreclosure. Get the help you need" is Fannie Mae's new slogan for their new website. This website is aimed towards helping struggling homeowners with their mortgages know that they have more options beyond foreclosures.

KnowYourOptions.com is a completely new site that gives struggling homeowners an easy guide to understanding all their options. This interactive website explains everything from how to stay in your home or how to leave your home all the way to how to get started and take action. Plenty of resources are given on the site for users to utilize, such as Fannie Mae's resources, counselors, and events. Also this site offers a calculator to help you understand how refinance, repayment, forbearance and modification would affect your particular situation. Each option is explained and gives the benefits if users were to choose that particular route. Videos with real people telling their own stories are also on the website for user to watch and learn about their situation.

Fannie Mae hopes to limit the losses on foreclosures and at the same time give homeowners a peace of mind if they are ever in this type of situation.
